US Existing Home Sales Surge in September

wall street journalThis past weekend, the Wall Street Journal reported “US Existing Home Sales Surge in September,” noting that sales climbed 4.7%, a rate just shy of the post-recession high touched in July. All in all, this year’s real estate market is on track to have its strongest year since 2007. Along with this encouraging news, RIS Media also reported on the National Association of Realtors’ 2015 National House Pulse Survey. The survey found that “eight in 10 Americans believe that purchasing a home is a good financial decision, and 68% believe that now is a good time to buy a home.” You can certainly count us in among these numbers, especially in our marketplace, where homes have traditionally proven to be a terrific investment over time.
