Philadelphia Popular Neighborhoods and Sales Trends

With the recent influx of buyers and sellers moving in, out and around the Philadelphia area, the last half of 2014 is shaping up to be much better than the first. Whether you are looking for a single family home, condo, estate home or renovated farmhouse, from a river view to the downtown skyline or open fields, with the market being poised on the brink of explosion, Damon will help find your perfect home.

Popular area neighborhoods this fall seem to be leaning towards Art Museum/ Fairmount, Fishtown / Northern Liberties , Southwark /Bella Vista, and Pennsport/Queen Village. Growth and movement in these areas is high.

The average median sales price was $155,000 in Philadelphia, PA, which was a 6.9% increase and shows stable growth. Average list prices in Philadelphia as late as last week for homes for sale was just over $236,000, which also shows a slight increase at 1.2% from just about a week ago. It is also a respectable 2% increase from almost a month ago. All indicators show that the market will continue its upward climbing trend.
